Dr. Harold Schutte is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon in Charleston specializing in hip, knee, and shoulder care, with extensive experience in total joint replacement and reconstructive surgery. He completed his medical degree and orthopedic residency at Loma Linda University and a fellowship in Adult Joint Reconstruction at the University of Arizona. Dr. Schutte introduced Mako Robotic Arm-assisted surgery to South Carolina and pioneered the “Free the Knee” tourniquet-less knee replacement program. Founder of the Charleston Institute for Advanced Orthopedics, he focuses on innovative, patient-centered care to help patients return to full activity.
