Dr. William Estes is an experienced orthopedic surgeon in the Charleston area with a passion for helping patients recover from musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. With a background in athletics, he has a special interest in sports medicine. He earned his medical degree from the University of Iowa and completed a sports medicine fellowship at the Hughston Clinic in Columbus, Georgia. Dr. Estes practiced orthopedics in Iowa for three years before returning to Charleston in 2005. His expertise includes arthroscopic treatment of shoulder, knee, and elbow injuries, as well as shoulder and knee replacements. Outside the clinic, he enjoys running, golf, tennis, snowboarding, time with family and his Bernese Mountain Dogs, and cheering for the Iowa Hawkeyes.
