Dr. Craig Rowin
Dr. Craig Rowin is a skilled Charleston plastic and reconstructive surgeon offering an array of plastic surgery services that range from aesthetic procedures to hand surgery and pediatric plastic surgery. Following his graduation with honors from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, Dr. Rowin completed his plastic surgery residency at the University of Massachusetts, where he served as chief resident during his final year. Dr. Rowin was very active in the research, publication, and presentation of plastic surgery topics, such as wound healing after abdominal reconstruction, in academic journals during his residency. He also embarked on mission trips to Latacunga and Salinas, Ecuador, where he operated on patients affected by cleft lips and palates. After his residency, Dr. Rowin completed a subspecialty fellowship in Craniofacial and Pediatric Plastic Surgery at Miami Children’s Hospital. At Plastic Surgery of the Carolinas, Dr. Rowin performs a broad spectrum of procedures, including breast reconstruction, post-weight loss body contouring, facial plastic surgery, and pediatric plastic surgery, among other treatments.
